The Hanover School Division has 7,056 students enrolled as of September 30 this year. That is the day school divisions across the province tabulate their student populations to qualify for provincial funding.  Superintendent John Peters says Hanover is currently the largest rural school division in the province and may now have surpassed Brandon.  He notes 538 of those students are in kindergarten which is well above the average 480.  This means numbers of students in early grades over the next few years will continue to be significant.
