There was an accidental fire in one of the suites at a Steinbach residence across from Steinbach Bible College on Friday afternoon.

Steinbach Fire Department got the call for help at 12:17pm this afternoon.

Kent Kroeker, Captain with the Steinbach Fire Department, says crews arrived shortly after.

"The fire was pretty much out when we got here."

He says the damage was minimal.

"There is a little bit of damage, more cleaning up than anything, no structural damage.
