Residents of Sandilands can still clearly recall the night one year ago when a severe storm ripped through their village. It took down thousands of trees making parts of the forested community look like open prairie.  Residents Larry Norlin and Alvin Kehler say the clean-up is still going on along with the planting of new trees.  They add the community has lost some of its appeal without the trees and more houses have gone up for sale in recent months.
Norlin feels the price of homes has also gone down.  He is also disappointed in EMO and the RM of Piney for not paying more of the clean-up costs.
