A man from Woodridge knows exactly what it sounds like to have warplanes flying overhead.  Claude Dubois has just returned from Lebanon where he spent days trying to escape.  It was supposed to be a friendly visit to some old friends, but then the first bombs went off and from that day forward he spent all his time and energy trying to escape.  Dubois stood in line for hours trying to be one of 1,200 people to board a ship for Cyprus.  He then spent 8 hours waiting for his number to be called to board a plane for Montreal.  Dubois says when his number was finally called it was like winning the lottery.  He landed in Winnipeg on Monday night, but says his heart breaks for all those who have been left behind and may be stranded due to a breach in transportation and communication services.
