The ball diamonds were busy this weekend at A.D. Penner Park as the Steinbach Storm Classic brought in hundreds of athletes, coaches and families.
Paul Turenne, Steinbach Softball President, was expecting 31 teams from all over the Southeast, including some teams from Winnipeg, Winkler, McDonald, Seine River, Landmark and a few other communities.
The Steinbach Storm Classic has been running for 13 years now, and Turenne says the fact that the same teams keep coming back to play is a good sign they are doing a good job hosting.
