The cost of health care in Rwanda depends on your level of income. Poor families need to pay 3000 Rwandan Francs. That equals just under $5 Canadian per person for one year of health coverage.

Lisa Livingstone Clark was in Rwanda to visit a friend when she learned how little it costs to get 90% of your health care covered, and yet so few families can afford it. Some families have to decide between buying food or health care. She and her husband immediately bought several health cards to give way and now they're encouraging others to do the same.  "For under the cost of a latte, you can provide coverage for a full year for a Rwandan in need"

Last year they raised over $13000 with provided health coverage for the year for over 2500 Rwandans.
