RCMP have located the body of a swimmer who went missing in the Whiteshell on August 27th.
A 38-year-old male from Fisher Branch swam out into the Winnipeg River to retrieve a boat that had blown away. He did not return. This happened near Strawberry Island on the Winnipeg River.
On Friday, officers from the Lac du Bonnet RCMP recovered his body on the shoreline of the Winnipeg River.
An autopsy has been scheduled for later today.
