The process to adjust child support has been made simplier by the Manitoba Government.  Senior Support Determination Officer Michael Williams explains the Child Support Recalculation service has expanded to handle the Federal Divorce Act.  When the service was launched in July last year it could only handle cases in the Provincial Family Maintenace Act.  Williams says this will now create an eaiser process.  Before the service parents who wanted to adjust their child support would usually have to hire a lawyer and go through a lengthy court proccess.   This new system will be much faster and cost effective for all parties involved.  Residents in need of the service can get the necessary paper work to adjust their child support without going to Winnipeg.
