The Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach is planning something new this spring.

Program Manager Robert Goertzen says they are getting ready to host a spring market.

“We’ve had lots of requests from different crafters and marketers who love our Christmas market in November, and they say, ‘you know, you should really do something in spring.’ So, we're doing that, we've planned that for April 27th.”

Goertzen says the museum is also planning other fun activities for that day.

“(It’ll be) a wonderful day where crafters can showcase their creations and it’s also a great place for families to visit, where you can do some shopping, you can explore the museum grounds outside and we're going to have horse drawn wagon rides and other kids activities. There will be a lunch canteen available as well. So, another great Saturday activity.”

Goertzen says they have already received a strong response from crafters. We can expect between 25 and 30 booths at the spring market.
