The Ste. Anne Fire Department received a call from a dog owner saying their dog was trapped by the Fitness Club in Ste. Anne on Monday, August 7 at about 4:04pm.

When crews arrived, they found that the dog had somehow gotten into a small culvert.

Ste. Anne Fire Chief Robert Saindon says the members of the fire department persuaded the dog backwards with a pike pole.

“Two members at the tail end of the dog were able to grab the rear legs of the dog and pull it to safety. Our dog rescue mission was a success and no harm was ascertained.”

When the crew arrived, it took approximately 15 minutes to rescue the dog.
