Thursday greeted the Southeast with high winds, zero visibility on highways, and blizzard conditions along with road and school closures. Though the storm cleared in the afternoon the extreme wind chill remained with values close to -43ºC. These values caused Environment Canada to issue an Extreme Cold Warning.

Friday (today) the Extreme Cold Warning remains in effect as winds are forecast to pick up from 20km/hr in the morning to 60km/hr in the afternoon. Wind chill values are expected to reach a chilling -47ºC.

Temperatures look to be warming up for the weekend with a high of -13º on Saturday, -3º on Sunday, and then -4º to start the week on Monday.
