First phase of Park Road West construction wrapping up

The first phase of construction on Park Road West is nearly complete. 

City of Steinbach Engineer Aaron Rach says work began in early September 2022. The Developer of Langill Farm is twinning Park Road West from E.G. Penner Building Centre to just west of the old campground. Rach says the final touches are currently being done. 

“They are completing the landscaping and will be opening the new road from the east, up to the Langill Way intersection at the new Penn-Co office. West of this intersection and up to Industrial Road will remain closed until the second stage of Park Road West is completed this fall.” 

Rach says Langill Way is the new street going into the residential development north of the Clearspring Centre.

Rach says the second phase of the project will see the city twin and pave Park Road West to Industrial Drive. It will then transition back to a two-lane gravel road.  

The second phase will be done by the same contractor as the first.  

“The Contractor is about to begin work on the next stage,” notes Rach.
