A portion of Loewen Boulevard in Steinbach will be closed to traffic for the next 10 days.
The City of Steinbach says the single lane closure is happening between Albert Street and Henry Street. This is the result of work being done at the lift station.
The closure begins today. Work is expected to be completed on Wednesday, January 17th.
According to the City of Steinbach, street parking will be unavailable in the affected area.
During this time, motorists will still be able to drive from east to west and from west to east down Loewen Boulevard, however, for a short stretch, it will be down to a single lane in both directions between Albert and Henry. Access to Hospital Street, Albert Street and Henry Street will also still be available. As well the walkway crossing Loewen Boulevard at Henry Street will remain open.
There is signage in place, urging motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution and reduce speed in the area.
