Children in Ste. Anne and Lorette will be excited to cool off this weekend at the splash park now that they are operational in those communities.

With the hot weather already this spring, water play areas have been quite popular places to cool off while having some fun.

Many splash pads opened last month, but Ste. Anne had to wait for parts necessary to make some repairs.

Those parts arrived on Thursday and the town announced the splash park would open on Friday at noon.

Also on Thursday, the R.M. of Tache announced the splash pad in Lorette is now open for the season.

Blumenort’s splash pad opened earlier this month.

Meanwhile in Steinbach, the splash park at the aquatic centre is set to open on Saturday, along with the outdoor swimming pool.

The splash park beside the Jake Epp Library opened last month, as did the one in St. Pierre.

La Broquerie’s splash park has also been a busy place since it opened.

We can expect these places to be used a lot throughout the summer.
