The Southeast has finally received significant rainfall.

The long-awaited rain was a welcome sight in Steinbach as a storm rolled through early Monday afternoon.

These are the rainfall amounts as reported by Manitoba Ag Weather as of 1 P.M.

  • Steinbach       12.9mm
  • St. Adolphe     4.3mm
  • Dominion City 12.7mm

According to Environment Canada’s historical data, Steinbach received only 15.5mm of rain in the entire month of July this year and only 5.8mm from August 1st to 8th.

More rain is on its way. Environment Canada’s forecast for Steinbach is calling for showers and thunderstorms to once again make their way through beginning early Monday evening and clearing up after midnight.
