The dream has become a reality for a number of skateboarders in the southeast.
The youth from Kleefeld have been hoping for a skatepark in their hometown of Kleefeld.  And now after 2 years of fundraising they have one.  Coordinator Bruce Peters says they got together $26,000.00 and purchased 8 ramps.
The skatepark is located in the outdoor hockey rink and Peters says it has become a gathering place for people of all ages.  He adds the project became a labour of love for the community with young and old working together to raise the money and put together the ramps.  As more money comes in they plan to add more ramps.  The facility will be shown off this weekend at the Kleefeld Honey Festival where there will be a skateboard competition and demonstrations.
