Police say there were no life-threatening injuries in the head-on collision on Highway 52 early Wednesday evening.

The collision took place around 6 p.m. Between Highway 216 South and Highway 216 north. Each of the two vehicles had a lone female occupant. The driver of a small car was taken to hospital in Winnipeg via STARS Air Ambulance and the driver of an SUV was transported to hospital by ground ambulance.

St. Pierre RCMP says both drivers are in stable condition and the cause of the collision is still under investigation by an RCMP traffic analyst.
