The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has provided us details on what was happening at a poultry farm near Landmark. Sandra Stephens says CFIA along with the provincial government and Manitoba Egg Producers performed a drill in event of a significant disease outbreak such as Avian influenza. Crews were going through a destruction disposal process. She says passing motorists may have seen vehicles blocking the driveway, the outside perimeter blocked off and people walking around in white suits or bright coloured vests. It was all part of the exercise. Crews will return Saturday to wrap up the drill.  Stephens says there was no need to inform the public of this test prior to the exercise because there's no danger to the public.  The AM 1250/Mix 97 Newsroom fielded numerous phone calls Friday as people called to ask about the "space suits" near Steinbach.
