Lac du Bonnet RCMP received a report of a shooting around 2:20 a.m. Sunday from a residence in the RM of Whitemouth.

RCMP say they arrested a 19-year old male from the RM and he is facing charges of Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm, Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm, Careless Use of a Firearm, and Possession of a Prohibited Firearm.

The victim, a 20-year old male, was transported to hospital with serious injuries and is in stable condition.

During the investigation into the incident RCMP also arrested a 22-year old male from Winnipeg who was wanted on two warrants of arrest in relation to violent incidents in Winnipeg. 

The Lac du Bonnet RCMP and Winnipeg Forensic Identification Section continue to investigate.
