Springfield Police have released more information regarding an orange Mustang driven through Birds Hill Park where the driver was issued several fines. 

During the investigation which began on Wednesday, May 31st, police issued several charges against a 20-year-old driver from Winnipeg, including misuse of a license plate, which police state did not belong with that vehicle. 

After further investigation, police say the Mustang was stolen from a dealership in Winnipeg that had not noticed it was missing when that initial incident occurred. 

Charges for the driver will now include possession of property obtained by crime for over $5,000, in addition to all the Highway Traffic Act and Provincial Park Act charges already laid. 

The driver was also issued a Serious Offence Notice and must have a hearing with MPI about the future of their driver's license.
