The rise of the Red River has now slowed to a crawl in southern Manitoba.

River levels continue to drop at Emerson and Letellier, and have seen minimal rises the last 24 hours at all other locations south of Winnipeg. Since Tuesday, the Red River has seen the following changes:

  • risen less than one inch at St. Jean to 782.15 feet (expected crest is between 782.2 and 782.5 feet)
  • risen less than one inch at Morris to 780.62 feet (expected crest is between 780.6 and 781.2 feet)
  • risen less than one inch at Ste. Agathe to 772.01 feet (expected crest is between 772.0 and 772.8 feet)
  • risen one inch at St. Adolphe to 767.84 feet (expected crest is between 768.0 and 768.7 feet)

Since Tuesday, the Roseau River has seen the following changes:

  • risen less than one inch at Gardenton to 967.40 feet
  • risen less than one inch at Stuartburn to 950.23 feet
  • dropped less than one inch at Dominion City (PR 200) to 783.18 feet

Also, since Tuesday, the Rat River near Otterburne has risen one inch to 772.95 feet, while the Seine River near Ste. Anne has gone up one inch to 833.52 feet.
