The RM of Hanover is hosting weeklong summer day camps across the municipality for ages 6-12.

Tayleigh Giesbrecht, rec coordinator for the RM of Hanover, says they noticed a gap in each community regarding summer programming.

“And there are so many other surrounding communities and towns and municipalities that run summer camps, and we wanted to give the communities of Hanover an opportunity to have them also in their own towns.”

There will be plenty of activities for the kids, from arts and crafts to outdoor games.

Each camp will have a different theme, and will run during the day from 9am-3pm.

Giesbrecht says they are looking for volunteers to help assist with the summer camps.

She says even if you can only do one week, it’s still a big help.

The RM of Hanover summer day camp is running in Mitchell from July 15-19, Kleefeld from July 22-26, Blumenort from July 29-August 2, New Bothwell from August 12-16, and Grunthal from August 19-23.

The cost to register is $150 per child.

Registration will be available online, and opens Tuesday, April 23rd at 8am.

Giesbrecht says if the online registration isn't working, you can call or e-mail the RM of Hanover office to register as well.
