The Seine River School Board Chairperson is pleasantly surprised by the new education plan announced by the provincial government, yet she feels there is an important piece that does not seem to be addressed.

While Bloomfield finds many positive things about the new plan, she believes it is missing an important piece. That is a plan to address nutritional needs of students.

She feels strongly that more work needs to be done to provide children with nutritious food in schools, especially considering that many students are not getting enough to eat. And hungry children find it more difficult to learn, Bloomfield says.
