There is a wildland fire burning just north of Ross and the Tache Fire Department is monitoring the situation.

It’s reported that the fire is burning in the same location as three years ago.

“We have had a drone fly over the area to investigate and found that some of the fire has self-extinguished and the remainder is moving slowly in an easterly direction,” the department reports.

Tache Fire will continue to monitor, stating that no residents or high value assets are being threatened, as of Friday evening.

“We are asking residents to assist in monitoring the fire and if you are concerned, don’t hesitate to contact 911. They are aware of the situation.”
