Today was the last Taste of Summer Charity Barbecue for this summer, and we are glad to have sold-out once again.
All $2,289.25 raised today was donated to Eastman Special Olympics.
Cathy Wiebe says all donations make it possible for Eastman Special Olympics to pay for their facility rentals and registration. Wiebe is grateful to everyone who came out to support the charity, exclaiming: “thank you, thank you, thank you!”
Eastman Special Olympics is also asking for more volunteers. Wiebe says that they need to have 1 volunteer for every 4 athletes in the Special Olympics.
“Right now we can take a total of 12 athletes, we have room for 21, but we can’t take them because we only have 3 volunteers.”

We are overjoyed to say that throughout the summer we raised a grand total of $22,199.32 for various charities.
