Two people were taken to hospital following a single-vehicle crash Saturday morning, south of Steinbach. And, RCMP say the driver was impaired.

Steinbach RCMP responded to the crash at 2:26 am. It happened along Highway 12, near Hanover Road. 

Police say the 25-year-old male motorist from Steinbach now faces charges of driving while impaired. His vehicle will be impounded for 30 days.

Two passengers were transported to hospital with undetermined injuries. The driver and another passenger were checked over by EMS and released on scene. 

Meanwhile, Steinbach RCMP say that in an unrelated incident, they also stopped an impaired driver on Friday evening in Steinbach. It happened Friday at 8:35 pm along Highway 12 near Superstore.

As a result, a 39-year-old male from Steinbach was issued an immediate roadside prohibition for alcohol, had his license suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for 60 days.
