A developer behind Millbrook Market says HyLife's choice to build their headquarters in Steinbach is huge for both his development and the city.

The big announcement was made on Thursday but Keith Unger says they have been working on this project behind the scenes for a while now.

"We are very excited to welcome HyLife to Millbrook Market. We have been biting our tongue for months and it is finally public and the renderings look amazing and we are just so excited to have them be part of the project and Steinbach should be happy too."

Unger also echoes both Mayor Earl Funk and Steinbach MLA Kelvin Goertzen, noting HyLife’s decision to build in Steinbach will benefit the whole community.

"I think it is great for Steinbach, it is going to attract so many jobs, all kinds of levels of jobs, there is all kind of spin-off to having that in a retail location. I think it is good for HyLife and I think it is also good for some of the other businesses that can take advantage of the traffic."
