Snow drifts and poor visibility Saturday morning
If you were waiting for snow to get you into the Christmas mood, we’ve got it. Poor visibility is reported on highways in the Southeast with blowing and drifting snow. Expect to encounter snow drifts this morning. While the snow has ended, there is a strong north wind which is creating snow drifts and causing reduced visibility. The Trans-Canada Highway from Headingly to Elie is closed, as of 6:57am on Saturday, December 9th. Click here for the Space Age Kal Tire road report. Watch for snow clearing machinery on streets, highways, parking lots and sidewalks. -With files from Corny Rempel In response to Canada's Online News Act and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) removing access to local news from their platforms, SteinbachOnline encourages you to get your news directly from your trusted source by bookmarking this page and downloading the SteinbachOnline app.
