The Southeast Storm recently completed a very successful season in Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association's Girls 13-14 year-old division.

The regular season was inconsistent as the girls from four different communities struggled to find some chemistry.

That chemistry started to develop in mid-season allowing the team to win their last two regular season games and finish in fourth place in the southwest division with a 4-4 record.

On June 10th, the Storm won three straight very highly contested playoff games to win their division.

The playoff run came to an end on June 17 as they fell to the undefeated Riverview team from the Northeast Division by a score of 32-17.

Still, it was a strong showing considering that Riverview won their other 11 games by a 35 point average.

The Storm are heading in the right direction after a great season and became the first girl's team to make it to a city championship in the 10-year history of Storm Basketball!
