RCMP say a distracted driver may be to blame for a three vehicle collision in Steinbach Monday afternoon.

It happened along Hanover Street, near Loewen Boulevard shortly before three o'clock.

Community Constable Dennis Redikop says the driver of a car crashed into a parked sport utility vehicle, which then backed into a third vehicle.

"It looks like the vehicle driver got distracted," says Redikop. "One of the parked vehicles had a domino effect and hit the other vehicle."

Redikop says charges are pending. He notes the driver could be charged with imprudent driving. He urges motorists to pay attention to the road and surroundings.

Redikop adds injuries were not serious.
