A special service was held yesterday in Steinbach for those suffering the recent loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or death soon after birth. The 4th annual Service of Remembrance and Interment was held at the Heritage Cemetary on Loewen Boulevard. Bethesda Hospital Chaplain Larry Hirst says all too often when a miscarriage takes place, we fail to acknowledge that a human being just died. Yesterday's service was a way to help parents realize the grief they feel is as significant as if a parent, grandparent or friend just died. 26 people attended the service. 12 babies and 5 interments were remembered.
