Water is running across a number of roads in the Southeast and that is resulting in a few road closures.

The RM of Ste. Anne has barricaded a portion of or closed the following roads due to overland spring flooding:

-Rd 32E at the corner of Greenland – washed out – Road is Closed

Intersection of Park and Keating Roads, on Saturday, April 24.
-Rd 36N at the creek between 45E and 44E – water is flowing over the road – Barricades are up
-Rd 38N water flowing over road at PR302 and 38N – Barricades are up
-2 Mile Road at the creek crossing which was already closed…. Is still closed due to flowing water
-Rd 48N West of PR302 between 302 and Rd 43E – over land flooding – Barricades are up

Contact the municipality if sandbags are needed.

In the City of Steinbach, Steinbach’s Public Works Manager, Randy Reimer spoke of spring flooding earlier in spring. Last month, he stated that problems could arise where yards are not landscaped to drain water away from homes. He also indicated that the city has sandbags available if residents need them to protect their homes. Contact the city for access.
