Harold Giesbrecht interviewing Karen Peck, in the beginnings of his career.

2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the radio program "Heart of the South!" Harold Giesbrecht has become a household name in Southern Manitoba for his connection to Southern Gospel music -- not only hosting the program every Saturday night at 8, but attending the National Quartet Convention in the United States, Canada's Gospel Music Celebration in Red Deer, and emceeing pretty much every Gospel concert there is to emcee in Southern Manitoba.

Harold Giesbrecht joined Golden West on-air host Jayme Giesbrecht for a look-back, to the very beginning.

For two decades, every Saturday night at 8 pm, you've been joining Harold for a deep dive into some of the best voices in Southern Gospel music today -- and while we may easily recognize those gospel groups, the same can be said for their recognition of Harold! When he attends those quartet conventions and concerts, he is recognized BY the groups as well which we think is pretty cool!!

Congratulations Harold, and thank you for 20 years of great gospel music, and for being the connection between us and the groups we love to hear!
