50/50 For Kids ticket sales have surpassed last year's total, but it is not over yet.

ROC Eastman Executive Director Moni Loewen says the community support has been amazing. She says tickets are being sold all day on Saturday and both Frantz Inn and TimberFalls Store and Carwash will be selling tickets on Sunday.

Josette Roch is the owner of Frantz Inn. She says it has been really great to see so many people purchasing tickets.

“People are noticing it, they are hearing about it or they are asking, 'what is this all about?' As soon as you explain it to them they say 'Sure I'll grab some.' It is a great charity for kids. I've been playing sports my whole life, so I've always thought that kids should be involved, and it keeps them out of trouble. “

Jim Stuart from Timber Falls Store and Carwash says they are excited to support an organization like ROC Eastman.

“Anytime we can support a cause like that in the community it gives us a chance to give back to our customers as well as help a great cause like the [50/50 For] Kids cause.”

Loewen says with half of the proceeds from 50/50 For Kids going to ROC Eastman, they will be able to help many families here in the Southeast.

“Much of our time is spent on living room floors with the families asking about dreams and hopes and things like that so the money definitely goes to staff time and then of course the wonderful things like the registration fees to get kids into the programs they want, the equipment they need, the fuel they need for the parents to get them there, so it is very tangible and we spend a lot of time finding the right fit.”

Loewen says they have a lot of dreams and goals for the families they work with and 50/50 For Kids will help them make those dreams a reality.
