The entire additional show for the 'Anne Of Green Gables' musical sold out in 76 short minutes Monday morning.

Chief Creative Officer for the Steinbach Arts Council Cindi Rempel-Patrick explains for a community production there are usually only four performances but decided along with the director and cast to open up another night to accommodate those interested in attending.  Rempel-Patrick notes for those wondering, there will not be a sixth performance.

"Everybody is asking, is there another show?  But we have to respect all of our cast.  There are 50 people here.  It's very exhausting, it takes everything out of you.  You've been rehearsing for months and then full on for two weeks before and then to have to sing and perform and do that all for another night would just be asking too much.  All of our actors are community people.  They go to school, they have jobs and then they perform all night and it really takes a lot out of you to go on stage and do a show each night.  So in respect to our wonderful and talented actors we won't be putting on a sixth show."

Rempel-Patrick says she wants this to be a positive experience not only for those attending the performances but also for the actors.  She adds if you are still wanting a ticket to keep checking the SAC website, any seat vacancies will be posted there.
