Steinbach Bible College and Christian High School want the same consideration as the Eastman Education Centre.  They say the centre received a large grant from the city and they want one, too.  S.B.C. and S.C.H.S. have asked for $100,000 over 5 years.  They explain the $20,000 per year is needed to cover their increase in taxes following expansion of the campus.  Executive Policy Chair David Banman says the city has a strict policy on grant requests of more than $500.  They are referred to the next budget study session.  That means this request will be referred to the study session in February.  Banman adds with an election coming in October, the decision will ultimately be made by the next city council.
