It is Christmas Day and all throughout southeastern Manitoba churches are holding special Christmas Day services and families are gathering together.

Environment Canada Meterologist Dan Fulton says there was light snow Friday morning which is expected to move out in the afternoon and turn into a mix of sun and cloud. He adds skies should clear Friday night as a ridge of high pressure builds and then Boxing Day looks clear with a high of -18ºC.

Meanwhile, he says, as long as the roads were plowed, there isn't expected to be an accumulation of snow and he suspects the road conditions will not worsen.

Merry Christmas!
