The death count continues to rise in southeastern Manitoba due to an anthrax outbreak. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has announced nine more animals have died since yesterday bringing the total to 38. Since the outbreak was first reported 37 head of cattle and one horse have died. All of the deaths have been on four farms in the RM's of Stuartburn and Franklin. An official with the agency confirms there are several samples in the lab which will be tested over the weekend.
