Josh Habig of San Diego will take a one stroke lead into Sunday’s final round of the Canadian Tour’s Players Cup. The 2006 MTS Classic champion was four-under par 67 on Saturday at Pine Ridge and owns a 54-hole total of 12-under par 201.

Second place belongs to Tom Hoge of Fargo. Hoge, who held the 36-hole lead, fired a two-under par 69 and is at minus 11.

Benjamin Alvarado of Chile is alone in third place at minus eight. Jason Scrivener of Australia and Chris Kilmer of Bellingham, Washington are at minus seven.

Dustin Risdon of Calgary, Roger Sloan of Merritt, BC., Jae Woo Im of Irvine, California and Vince Covello of Philadelphia are tied for sixth place at minus six. Im and Brad Fritsch of Ottawa had the best results on moving day as both were six-under par 65. Fritsch is at minus five.

Both Manitobans who made the cut went backwards on Saturday. Brad Kirton was two-over par 73 and is now at even par for the tournament. He’s in a tie for 42nd place.
