Another week that will go in the history books.  How we make our way through this point in time will be a true testament to our respect of community.  Amidst the heavy of COVID19 we want to celebrate and highlight some of the good stuff from the last week!

Enjoy a highlight of just SOME of the good stuff.  Because when you look around...there is lots of good stuff!  If you see good stuff happening, PLEASE tell us!  From a kid doing something really sweet, to something fun you see a neighbour doing to pass the time, to a GREAT deed you hear about...we WANNA know!

Why did the neighbour cross the road?

Oh wait...they didn't cross it...the met on it...with the required social distancing in mind.  Grab a lawn chair, layer up and get outside to visit!  That's what a group of friends in Roseau River did.  One has to get creative right now and they did!  With the forecast looking so nice this weekend, layers may not be required!

A Gala of Virtual Proportions!

The SEMF was cancelled due to Covid 19 and the always anticipated final gala was also cancelled. BUT....oh wait....you're gonna like this.  It still happened!  Virtually but it still happened!  Super cool that we got to see the performers perform their pieces in a place they spend all their time practicing or we saw actual footage of their winning performance earlier in the month! Check out all the talent right here in the southeast all while you sit on your sofa!  This?  Is GOOOOOD stuff!

Toilet Paper Sculpture Soon to Be Toilet Paper Puddle

A new art genre has been discovered on the streets of Steinbach! Yes...it's of the toilet variety...toilet paper to be exact.  John and Adina got creative in their front yard and designed a sculpture...of toilet paper.  Similar to a large round bale, the Sawatzky's rolled the toilet paper across their lawn to the delight of the neighbourhood.  This scultpure won't last long with the melting temperatures ahead, but it's been a welcome distraction! And Niverville's Hespeler park has become a safari destination!  Animal photos placed strategically throughout the park have given families one more fun thing to do.  This stuff?  GOOOOOOOO stuff!

We Got Wacky All Week Long!

Or we got more wackier than usual?  We went colourful, had a onesie palooza, raided closets, cheered on our favorite teams, and we got creative.  We got wacky all week long with the students from Woodlawn Elementary!  A different theme every day and although some were more difficult than others...we participated!  Check out all the different days!  Thanks for the great idea Woodlawn school!

Grocery Stores are Helping With All the Social Distancing.

Grocery stores are continuing to do their part in making is as safe as possible to shop for the necessities.  Limiting the numbers inside the store at one time, putting up barriers and guiding people as to how close they should be standing in line. WELL DONE grocery stores! Thank you!  That is good stuff!
