U15 A Girls Softball Provincial Championships in photos

Loaded bases, walk-up music and team spirit are the sights and sounds at the A.D. Penner Park in Steinbach this weekend.

The U15 A Girls Softball Provincial Championships kicked off on Friday, and many teams and families came to support the athletes in their tournament runs.

Twenty-eight teams are competing to be provincial champions, including the home team Steinbach Storm.

In addition to all the action, there is a cash-only canteen at the park offering gameday needs.

There is a gate entrance fee of $10. All funds raised will be donated to the Umpires Association to train the next generation of umpires and which will allow athletes to continue playing.

The U15 A Girls Softball Provincial Championships continue this weekend until Sunday, July 23, when the champions will be crowned.
