The Steinbach Regional Secondary School’s ninth season in the Winnipeg High School Football League came to an end on a drizzly Friday afternoon at Vincent Massey Collegiate.

The Trojans raced out to a 28-0 first quarter lead and defeated the Sabres 49-7.

Isaac Dokken carried the ball 12 times for 110 yards and caught three passes for 42 yards for the Sabres.

Jayden Martens hauled in six passes for 108 yards and Avery Penner had three catches for 103 yards.

SRSS quarterback Sawyer Thiessen completed 13-of-32 passes for 271 and scored the Sabres lone touchdown on a four-yard run.

Cade Penner and Tyson Bennett led the defense with five tackles each.

Ethan Gruninger and Thomas Peters both had two tackles for losses.

Jayden Pozniak tallied four tackles and a forced fumble that was recovered by Reece Knelsen.
