The Reeve of Hanover says as the result of some recent collisions, the municipality has decided to put up stop signs at 14 uncontrolled intersections. Stan Toews says ratepayers have been asking for this, along with RCMP and Manitoba Public Insurance.

According to Toews, there are 14 intersections in Hanover that are currently uncontrolled. Each of those will be getting stop signs. He notes majority of the locations are along gravel roads north of Highway 52.

He says it will cost about $3,000 to complete the work. That entire cost will be covered by the municipality. The work is expected to happen between now and the end of June.
