Red dot shows the location of the snowmobile fire.The Steinbach Fire Department got an alarm shortly before 6:00 Tuesday morning.

Deputy Chief Ron Chausse says they were called to the intersection of Municipal Roads 31 East and 39 North, three miles north of Mitchell.

"We were called to a snowmobile fire. It's unknown what led to this incident here. There were no injuries and the RCMP are investigating. We have no idea what the situation is here. There was no one to be found on the scene here."

RCMP have not yet released any further information.
