The National Weather Service is still calling for major flooding this spring along the Red River at Fargo and Grand Forks.

It says a slow, gentle thaw should continue into early April with very little precipitation expected over the next ten days.

The National Weather Service is calling for the Red River to crest at Fargo sometime between April 1st and 4th at a level between 32 and 34 feet, which is considered major flood stage.

By comparison, last year, it crested in Fargo at 35.03 feet.
