There are some encouraging statistics about youth in the southeast. The manager of the Manitoba Youth Job Centre in Niverville is finding that they are becoming more resourceful. Kristen Suderman says fewer students came in this summer and that's because they seem to be getting better at finding jobs on their own. She adds it's encouraging that their services aren't needed because that means youth know where to look for jobs. And according to their head office, the unemployment rate for Manitoba youth is one of the lowest in the country. Suderman adds there hasn't been a shortage of job postings this year, in fact businesses in the area have once again been very supportive.
